Beach day! Today we are at Selkirk Provincial Park on Lake Erie. Selkirk is a smaller provincial park, snuck in between some larger beaches along Erie. We had heard that those big beaches are getting busier with the hot summer days, so we thought we'd try out Selkirk to avoid the crowds.
Success! Other beachgoers came and went but we outlasted them all. The beach was a bit rocky, with some pointy, sharp sticks to maneuver, but we had fun digging holes and tunnels and, as always, playing in the water. We're getting very good at lounging on our floaties.
At the end of the day, the kids rated this beach as their least favourite of the three we've visited (but still good!) but the restaurant we stopped at on the way home as the best place they've eaten supper (this had a lot to do with the ice cream for dessert). That's the official review. Check back next week for more.
