COUSIN BEACH DAY!! This is like a normal beach day, but a million times better because the cousins are also at the beach. Longpoint, on Lake Erie, today with calm cool waters, fine sand, and a perfect spot blocked off with logs to keep ourselves socially distanced. This was a perfect day at the beach.

Another hike today, this one at Forks of the Credit. We walked 3 km to the falls, enjoyed one bite of our snack, and then the rain came early. What was supposed to be a storm at 1 showed up as a downpour at 11:30. There was no place for us to go and no point in standing around so we just hiked right back through that rain. And despite Clara's face, she did really great - I think she realized the only thing that was going to make this misery go away was to get back to the parking lot and so off she marched. Three cheers for a sense of (1) adventure and (2) humour.

The boys were playing an intense game of volleyball with David until this streaker ran across the court and stole the ball.

The boys have reached the painting stage of the playhouse. They picked the colours themselves. It is going to be a very bright house.

We opted for a hike day this week instead of a beach day, so off to Mono Cliffs we went. We discovered neither new land nor new species (some expectations were high) but we walked over 5 km in two hours so... no real feats were accomplished. But here we are outside running around and getting fresh air. That will do.

We had a huge and beautiful and amazing thunderstorm today. I have no pictures because we were too busy being amazed at how quickly - and loudly - the storm rolled in. Instead, please gaze upon these photos of Saskatchewan that my sister and brother sent me in the last few couple days. We are supposed to be packing up our luggage this week and getting on a plane Thursday to visit this glorious place but... we're not. So I'll be staring at these pictures for a long time, pretending that I'm standing right there.
