Okay - I think we came out of that okay. I mean, we don't recommend getting Covid. 0/5 stars. But we're here on the other side, thanks to the generosity and helpfulness of friends who dropped food off at our door or said a prayer for us or checked in.
Varying degrees of illness in the house. Everyone tested positive but Miss Clara skipped around like she wasn't even sick. Joe had a fever for a few hours. Jane, who started all this business when she brought it home from kindergarten (thanks, kindergarten, with your lessons on sharing and whatnot), had a scratchy throat for a day or two. Henry was knocked down for a day. And Annie and Leo had the worst of it, down and out for about three days with fever, exhaustion, sore throats, and general grumpiness.
I lied. The parents actually had it the worst, but no need for our complaining here. Like I said, we are so grateful for the thoughtfulness of friends and family who helped us. We are also grateful for the Olympics, which provided a happy distraction.
And now! Kids are back to school today! We feel invincible! Tired! But really, really immune!
