more bone fete-ing
This time, we celebrated Lily, Gabes, and Auntie in a birthday cake extravaganza. We love them and we love cake so it was a delicious way to spend the afternoon.

toothless
Now it's Annie's turn with this losing teeth business. What? Didn't this tooth JUST GROW IN? Wasn't she a baby yesterday? The answer is, no, I guess not. Darn it.
Anyway, Annie lost a tooth! And then another! And then she was kind and understanding when the Tooth Fairy didn't make it to our house one night (you know, what with all the surplus of kids losing teeth, plus traffic delays, plus her having a cold... the Tooth Fairy has some rough days, too, you know... but then she left extra the next night to make up for it so all is forgiven).
So, welcome, Annie, to the story of life: grow a tooth, lose a tooth, make a buck.

efficient, part 2
Instead of doing things while Leo sleeps (like, say, cleaning the house or making supper), I prefer to just watch him.

sausage fingers
I am fascinated by Leo's hands... his palms seem so little compared to his giant fingers. Or maybe all baby's hands look like that and I've forgotten. OR he has giant fingers.

candy store
See? Some of us did leave the couch sometimes. This was Jane and Papa's daily walk to the convenience store to buy a newspaper. The morning walks started out being called a walk to the "newspaper store." By the end of their visit, however, someone got the name mixed up to "candy store."
professional baby holders and story readers
Look who came to meet Leo... travelling the farthest distance and bringing with them a lot of love... it's Grammie and Papa!!
Judging from these photos, we didn't venture too far from the couch when they were here... not entirely accurate but not totally wrong either. We enjoyed a lot of down time, visiting time, holding time, reading time, recouping time, just being time. Just time. And it was so good.

trapped
What's a big brother to do, when he's being held hostage by a baby?
Nothing. Just sit there. And love it.
