Henry and I are off to Shaunavon to celebrate a lady we love... we will miss you very much, Grandma.

birthday numero deux

So while we were celebrating Henry's Baptism, we also decided to celebrate Joseph's birthday... again. This time the party included David's family, a recycling cake, the same decorations, more chips, storytime on the stairs, and persistent blue icing. Birthday season is now on hold until Joseph's actual birthday... which is still more than two weeks away.

Baptize Henry!

Today we celebrated Henry's Baptism day. Joseph was pretty clear about what we were doing there when Fr. Mark asked David and me what we wanted of the Church for Henry - our response was "Baptism." Joseph's response - said in loud-outside-voice - was "Baptize Henry! Baptize Henry!" (all while waving around a wooden cross he received from David's cousin, Greg... it was all so very charismatic).

Anyway, that's what Fr. Mark did. Baptized Henry. And that makes us glad.

happy birthdays!

It's the start of Joseph's Birthday season! Party #1 with Lily and Auntie Andra was today (and another one next weekend with the Kantors!). The party had everything a party should have... chips, crafty projects, gifts, and cake (and a football game on in the background). Three cheers for being two!

more trucks coming?

That's what Joe said at the end of the Santa Clause Parade. Because I guess when you are 1 (almost 2) and truck-obsessed and sit on the side of the road for 2 hours and don't know all that much about Santa Clause, you think you are there just to watch for trucks.

They're here! Papa and Grammie are here for their yearly November visit and, this time, there's a Henry here to see them. We have a busy weekend planned for them, so let's get started.
