Stubborn, Part Deux

Well, here we go again. Another ultrasound. Another sonographer (that's the official Ultrasound Lady title). Same result.

"I have never seen such a stubborn baby."

Yes, well, I'm sure the Baby will have many nice qualities from David to make up for all the stubborn that came from me. At any rate, we had this second visit so the doctor could get proper measurements of our baby's head... after much prodding and pushing and rolling over, the sonographer finally got what she was looking for, and we got to see our baby yawn and suck its toes and (apparently) put its hand in its mouth (either that or our sonographer has a great imagination).

But - trust us - with or without the sonographer's imagination, it was a an amazing show. Thank you Baby... we love you.

I'm so sorry... I don't know what I was thinking

This was our second try at an ultrasound. The picture came out much better, don't you think?

Okay, actually, this is a picture of the greatest cousin ever. Aaron. This picture and declaration of greatness should have been posted a long time ago. My apologies for the oversight.

Stubborn?

$10 to the first person who can tell us where the baby is in this picture. This could be any organ in my body.

But, we are told by the Ultrasound Lady (uncertain of official job title), this is our Baby. She said the Baby was facing away from the camera and, despite my getting up to walk around and try to jiggle the Baby into a better position, this is where he/she stayed, looking into my back. The Ultrasound Lady called the Baby "stubborn." Hmm... I can't imagine who he/she gets that from.

In gender news, we are waiting for the surprise in December. But we think it's a boy. That's been our guess for a while, but even more so now. The Ultrasound Lady kept saying things like "He won't move - er - he or she won't move." So either she was trying to throw us off or she's not very good at keeping secrets.

Anyway, as non-descript as this image is, we're eager and excited. We can't wait to hold this fuzzy, black-and-white, non-descript baby in our arms.

The Green Room

Here I am, standing in our new green room, painted by Super Husband David (you did an excellent job, Handy-man Dave).

This is the room for our baby, whom I am keeping in my tummy for safekeeping until he or she is ready.

What? Baby? Why, yes. The adventure doesn't stop with our arrival home from travelling... in fact, we probably don't even know what adventure is yet. We are expecting Baby Kantor on December 20 (ish) and are very, very excited for what lies ahead.

(There - it's official. We announced it on the internet so it must be true...)

See you in about 107 days, Baby! (And we promise we'll have some furniture in your room by then.)

The Sprinkle Park

... or, as it's known by the rest of society, the "splash pad." I joined the Dhas family in a sprinkle park adventure on our warm and sunny holiday Monday. Lily loved it. We were there longer than five minutes and Andrea deemed that a success. Me, too. It was fun.
