This time we went to Guelph to watch Liam play. It's all part of the Niece and Nephew World Soccer Tour.

29 weeks

This is really a picture of our week... both Joe and I were sick, so there were lots of cuddles, naps, and stories (and bottles and drugs). We're feeling better now, so on to week 30.

picnic-ing with the Kantors

Today was our second annual Kantor Family Picnic. Christie Lake was a great place to gather and, though there were adults there, the kids were a lot more interesting to take pictures of (see below). Sorry, adults.

Can't wait for next year, when there will be even more little kids at the picnic!

I asked Jojo what we should call this post, and that's what he said. Burgers.

So, Pedro, thanks for the burgers at the 6th annual S+L bbq. They were yummy. And Joe had a great time swimming and playing with Imogen.

(That second group picture... Jenna said "jump." But I don't see anyone jumping but me. Embarrassing.)

That's Lily... soccer phenom. We went to watch her practice this morning and she was great at running and throwing and, of course, the post-practice cuddle with Mom.

Thanks, Ava, for having us come over to play. We had a really fun time, especially the running around outside part!

So much more fun than last year...

pump up the jam

That's what I did today. I made jam. For the first time ever. And, though I won't know for sure until we open a jar and try some, I don't think it sucks. Hurray!

belly ache

... is what Joseph should have tonight, given all the berries he consumed today.

Berry-picking. A fun activity with a 1.5 year old, as long as you don't expect to leave with a huge number of berries in your bucket. Belly, yes. Bucket, no.

nauserous

That's more Joseph speak... it means rhinoceros. And Joe knows all about them because we went to the zoo today (David gave himself an extra long weekend and had the day off - hurray!). So we strolled in the sun looking at all the animals we would otherwise only see in books, practicing our animal noises and watching them - for the most part - sleep (I think it was too hot for them to perform... otherwise they probably would have been juggling or something).

Later tonight, as Joe and I snuggled before bed, we did a recap of the day and he told me in a whisper-y voice about all the animals that he saw. As fun as the zoo was, the soft voice saying "turtle turtle" in my ear was my favourite part.

In Joseph speak, that's "Happy Birthday, Canada." We had a bonne fete kind of time, welcoming our Molyneux friends back to Canada, after their 2.5 weeks in Bermuda. We went to the airport early to watch the planes come in (awesome), then supper, swimming, and hoteling with Cary, Sandy, Robert, Sarah, and Nicholas (even more awesome).

We had a good time swimming and staying up late... we hope to see you again soon, Molyneuxs!!
