kantors in quarantine - march 29
Thanks to Auntie Michelle and her internet ideas, we are now playing chutes and ladders on the biggest board ever. We used up all our sidewalk chalk to make it, but worth it.
p.s. I won. That's why it was worth it.

And bike riding. The weather is treating us to good times.

First day of (learn at home) school. Jane also decided to enrol. Things went really well for the first five minutes. And then they didn't.

kantors in quarantine - march 22
Church in the basement. Henry was in charge of set-up. Overheard this little convo before Mass started...
Clara (looking around at the empty chairs beside her): We're the first ones at Mass.
Jane: Yeah. There aren't very many people here.

isolating
Day one. This is our March break, followed by at least two more weeks of no school and David working some days from home. So far, so okay.
looky-loo
We've got an annoying neighbourhood kid peeking in our window to see if we're home.
This would be more charming, if the curious bird wasn't also doing this... for the past two days this robin has been trying to bust into our house through our living room window. We have tried hanging things in the window to scare him off but he's pretty persistent. We can hear his little beak hitting the window from every room in the house, and the kids go running to the window, yelling and shaking their fists to shoo him away. He knows we're home and he wants in. That's not creepy at all....

grandpa's cake
We celebrated Grandpa with a hunk of head cheese today. Leo, who has enjoyed some recent birthday cakes for daddy and mommy lately, was eager to try the treat... that ended quickly. And then a trifle arrived, and he was ready to stick his fork into that. Trusting little fella.

happy birthday to moi
Well, here I am, all 42 years of me. And here I am celebrating with a big cake, on multiple days, with multiple people. The kids spoiled me with sweet cards, generous gifts, very yummy cake, good food, and lots of love. And family, near and far, were so good to me. I am such a lucky lady (I would say, "girl" but... I am 42... time to grow up I guess).
