party girl

Crafting + cupcakes + kids = a birthday party, right? We've forgotten how this is done since last we invited friends over for a shindig. This is was Janie's first time ever getting to invite friends over to play and giggle and snack, so we wanted to get it right. I think Janie's smile says it was just what she wanted. (I mean, she did cry later because 6-year-old emotions are big and life is confusing and sometimes you just need to cry? But at this moment, all was well.)

Happy Birthday (again!) Janie!

all good things

Farm time, home time, cousin time, pool time, Frosty Treat time, hockey time, visiting time, supper time - all of it was a good time. But good things, darn it, come to an end, and so we had to leave and get back to regular stuff. We left a lot of love there, and we'll be back for a WEDDING in August - can't wait!

celebration day

The Lord is Risen AND my Dad is 80 so we're celebrating big today. Dad's birthday was way back in January but this is when the Kantor and Dhas families could get home, so we amped up the Easter celebrations with some birthday flair (ie. a cake and a game and some singing). We will celebrate the whole year long because that's the kind of party my Dad, our Papa, deserves.

Alleluia!

Happy Easter! The Lord has Risen! And we are glad to be here, in this place and with these people. Amen, Alleluia!

cowboys

While at the Hansen Ranch, Leo got to check out the baby cows with Uncle Al. He was quiet and gentle - instructed yet unexpected - and now would like to get one of his very own, please.

on the hunt

Michelle Hansen, hostess with the mostest, put together an Easter egg hunt for ALL the cousins today. Approximately 1-gajillion eggs were strewn across the yard and kids took not nearly enough to find them all. Well, not all. About five are left for Michelle to find when she is mowing grass this summer.

Thanks, Michelle, for your big yard and your bigger heart.

cash and carry

Look who we got to meet today... Mr. Cash Casat himself, just a mere six months after his birth (unlike his big brother... whom we met when he was practically a grown up). Cash is a very happy, smiley guy and tolerated all of us holding him and carrying him around, for which we are grateful. We've loved you since the day you were born, Cash, and we have some catching up to do.

And of course we also had some good times with this guy...
