Mom: Jojo - please don't do that. You can either be upstairs or downstairs but don't shake the gate. Upstairs or downstairs - what do you want?

Joe: Pancakes.

cottage-ing

We enjoyed the cottage life today - thank you Flahertys for inviting us to join you! We played, we ate, we beached, we slept. Joseph threw a lot of rocks. It was a good day.

And Happy Birthday Auntie Laura and Uncle Bill!!

How Joseph fell asleep today...

(And, yes, I realize this is the same outfit he was wearing in the last post about his bed. It is a different day and he does sometimes wear other clothes. Promise.)

moving day

Today is the day! Joe moves out of his crib and into a big bed. In order to get him excited about the new sleeping arrangements, we involved him the moving process.

First, we made him disassemble the crib, then put it up again in the baby's room.

Then he had to put together his new bed.

Then test out the guard rail.

Then read me a story.

And finally, he could rest.

We're happy to say the bed works. He sleeps in it. We hope this continues. Good night, Jojo.

... and feeling good. We're excited to be heading to Shaunavon soon for some prairie frivolity.

And - a success story! David and I went out for a pre-anniversary date last night and Jojo was a SUPERSTAR with his baby-sitter! No problems at all... they ate and played and he went to sleep with no problems. What a good guy we've got.
