And then we had to leave. And we never like that. But we thank Grammie and Papa for all the love and kindness and generosity and patience and every single moment of being there with them.

We went to visit Auntie Rosella at just the right time. Exercise class was just beginning, and we promptly took over to make it chaotic and loud. The woman in charge assured me it was nice for the residents, but she may have just been being polite.

Okay, not all of this was fun. Like when one cousin went soaring down a hill, catapulted over a retaining wall, landed in the creek, and broke her toe in the process. That part was not fun. But cousins adventuring together... that part was nice.
