extra cuddly

So here we are, Joe and me cuddling after I got home from work today. I've been back to work since December, but mostly reading and researching and writing from the home office. Now as the filming and editing schedule gets busier, I have to be at Salt + Light more frequently... which means Joseph now goes to childcare. It's been ... a process. And I'm sure it will continue to be a process but hopefully one day he will look forward to going and playing with the other kids and not be crying as we pull up into the driveway. Hope, hope, hope. In the meantime... Joseph is extra cuddly with us in the evening time, so happy to have mommy and daddy home with him. It's my favourite part of the day.

Thanks, Rachel, for visiting with us today! We're happy to have tea with you and give you rocks and tell you about dogs and airplanes and things. Thank you for teaching about theatre and how Opening Night is actually your closing night... it's good to learn a new thing everyday.

We hope you come back soon!!

(We hung out with Rachel in the distillery district, which is a great place to spy airplanes landing and GO trains going by and rusty old trucks rusting.)

hunting for eggs and alligators

We were super happy to learn that the Easter Bunny also visits Florida, despite the dangers of crocodiles and vultures. So we coloured our eggs for some Easter hunting.

Here are the Kantor men on Easter Sunday. After Mass, we stopped at a park to do some alligator spying.

And here's what we found.... We stayed safely on the bridge.

Then back to the house for the egg hunt. Joseph was very good.

Our Florida weather was great and Jojo loved to hit the pool first thing in the morning, right after lunch, as soon as he woke up from his nap, and anytime anyone else was in the water. We went through a lot of swim diapers.

A little walk pre-swim...

And we also had a couple of days to visit the beach. Sand, we learned, is more fun than water so we spent a lot of time digging. And oohing and aahing over treasures.

Jojo learned how to both say and catch "geckos" while we were in Florida.

Isn't this sweet? We thought Joe was looking out the window of the plane at all the action below... and he was... until he fell asleep with his face plastered up against the window. Florida is fun, but exhausting.

Hello... we're back... again! This time it was a trip to Florida to join David's parents, who are renting a house there. We spent our Easter weekend playing in the pool, digging in the sand, searching for alligators, and enjoying the sunshine-y weather. More pictures are coming!
