Know what Leo will never be? Cold.
He has a lot of blankets, this guy. This one was made by his mommy. She's embarrassed it took six months to complete. Leo reminds her that it's because there are six people for her to look after.

springing, part 3
If you're looking for a nice lawn, don't look here. It's 90% clover and dandelions and we're an embarrassment to our neighbourhood. But if that's your thing, come hang out with us. We'll be in the backyard.

Janie leaned to pump herself on the swings. "So I can keep going!" she exclaimed. She's feeling pretty proud.
tenant
We've begrudgingly taken in a housemate. He's cute but messy. Eats my planters. Moves at hectic pace. Could actually be more than one... hard to tell. Lives in the wall. Doesn't pay rent.

leo and papa and grammie
We were so happy to have these two here for the weekend. Grammie and Papa came for Gabriel's First Communion and Leo's Baptism. Then they headed back for farming and seeding. But we are always glad to have them with us, no matter how many days.

moms and arts and crafts
Today is the day to celebrate Moms! And I was lucky to...
1) have my own Mommy here to celebrate with!
2) receive many handmade treasures and love notes. They were all thoughtful and cute and sweet. Even Jane contributed in her own arty/crafty way, by shoving a bead up her nose.
3) not have to take Janie to the ER to get the bead out of her nose. We got it out on our own.
Happy Mother's Day to me and my Mumsies!

leo john paul
Today was the day we introduced Leo to his bigger, better family... the Church one. He has been attending Mass since he was three days old, but this was the day we made it official and had him Baptized, marked as a Child of God.
I loved Leo's Baptism. We were so happy to have him baptized by cousin/Fr. Greg, and to have our dear Moynihan friends as his godparents. Joe played a song on the piano. Readings were taken care of by Grandpa, Grammie, Annie, and the godparents. Henry led us in a sweet litany of the Saints. And Clara wrapped it all up with a rousing rendition of Jesus Loves Me. The liturgy may not have been perfect, but it was family and that was perfect for us.
