my name is leo and I like to share

Breaking News: Leo hates to share. Or, in his words, he hates to "hare." He wants his/everyone else's stuff. He wants it lined up. And he wants no one to touch it but him. Our refusal to follow his rules/demands has, more than once, led to big screams and long fits. So we're trying a reset. A "fake it until you make it" approach to learning. No progress as of yet, but we're pushing through. Let's just see how this goes...

dine and doze

We skipped Leo's nap today to take our hike, and he walked most of the way, and all of that proved to be a little too much for this little fellow. He rocked himself to sleep after one bite.

A walk at the RBG today, complete with feeding birds and holding snakes. (But not feeding birds to snakes... that would be awful.)

SPRING!!

It's here - we're so glad! We're outside, shorts are on (that may be a bit premature), games are being played, and fresh air is being breathed. We'll be out here until October.

Here we are and happy birthday to me. So far, 43 looks like bifocals and an internal alarm clock set to 5 a.m. That's super. But it also looks like 7 beautiful and crazy people loving me when I'm at my best and my worst. All is good, all is well.  

Thank you for all the well wishes and cards and calls, especially to my Mumsies and Dad. Miss you a lot.

Clara and I each got new glasses this year so we smiled for this picture and announced that we were glasses buddies. Then Clara said, "We're also dry skin buddies." 

True.

Yes, for those wondering, our bedtimes are always this harmonious and quiet and peaceful. Always. 

pillows for puppies

Here's Annie behind a stack of pillows and blankets she made with leftover fleece from old projects. We're ready to send them off to an animal shelter to keep the pups and kitties cozy. And we may or may not be hoping they send us a puppy in return?
