shaunavon things

And here's all the other good stuff that kept us busy while we were in Saskatchewan... it's always good stuff.

snow motion

Sledding, day 2. This time downhill and hosted by the lovely Becca and family at their new home (and awesome yard). Not pictured are Michelle and Walker catching air, or David destroying the inflatable sled, or the new carharts that Walker was so proud of, but those memories will be cherished in our hearts and our heads.

going to skate lengths

We hauled all our skates across the country because we need a lot of practice and we know that Shaunavon's the place to do it - general skating is free and barely anyone (if anyone) shows up, giving us the freedom to fall all over the place and crash into the boards when we need to stop.

Anyway, first day we went skating and who do we run into but my grade 9 phys. ed teacher. So we reenacted this scene, where we went skating in gym class and he made fun of my terrible technique and is basically the reason I don't know how to skate today.

Well, we tried. We laced up the skates about three times and, considering we only skate about once a year, we did pretty okay. In the end, though... (see below...).

make no moose-take

Jason and Paige have this little feller living in the trees surrounding their yard. He enjoys eating crab apples but is not into the danger sledding that the rest of us participated in. He prefers quiet and less danger.
