we're back, we're back

Joseph and I are frequent flyers. Just one week after coming back from Shaunavon, we hopped back on a plane to head to Saskatoon. This time, I was covering the Episcopal Ordination of Bishop Donald Bolen in the Diocese of Saskatoon, and Jojo was coming with me for some good Grammie time. Yup, Grammie is a Super Grammie and she came to stay with us and play with Joe while I was working. They had some good walks, a few naps, some french fries, and a bunch of cuddles. Thank you, MAMMIE! (as Joe likes to yell)... we'll see you in May!

spring cleaning

Though it wasn't as warm as it has been this past week, we ventured out to clean up our backyard (with our postage stamp sized yard, it didn't take long). Joseph showed some good prospects as a gardening helper.

happy birthday mmmum

Joseph greeted his mom this morning with the usual "mmmmum" but on this very special day added an "ahh-ooo", which is his way of saying "I love you".

Last night, I managed to invite a few people over to our home for a Birthday dinner without Gillian knowing, so we enjoyed surprising her when she came home from work. Blowing out the candles was a true team effort.

Today we spent a fun day together, capped off with watching Gillian play basketball. Before the game started, Joseph got to run around a basketball court for the first time ever. We'll show him this picture when he's 6'5" and dunking in high school.

And all of a sudden, he grabbed a ball, and shot it from center court ... the picture below shows his follow through ... swish.

Joseph was enthralled by the game. He sat and watched contentedly the whole time, except for once when he squirmed to get down from my lap, and standing on the ground, pumped his fist at the court saying "go, go, go!" We're so glad he likes sports.
