the Joseph Show

Today we are showcasing some of Joseph's newest talents, including:

1) laughing at mom (I stick my tongue out and Joseph laughs... gets him everytime)
2) bringing his hands to his mouth (intentionally... sometimes)
3) blowing bubbles (ie. drooling)
4) but not yet standing up and walking to the kitchen (thank goodness. he's only 2 months old)

measuring up

At two months, Joseph is 11 pounds, 1.5 ounces and is 24.5 inches long. This puts him between the 95th and 97th percentiles for his age... not that that really matters when you are only two months old.

(Despite predictions, he is not taller than Gillian's cousin Carrie... yet.)

laundry day

Today is Family Day in Ontario (= a day off work). We're celebrating by vacuuming and doing laundry and loving our son (all at once).





Joseph was exactly two months yesterday at 12:54 p.m. He has a doctor's appointment tomorrow so we will find out how much he weighs and how long he is and all the important things that doctors know about 2 month old babies.

happy Emily day

Today was party day at the Flaherty house in celebration of Emily's 9th birthday. Here's Joseph and the birthday girl...


... and here's Joseph getting all the attention instead of the birthday girl. (It was okay... Emily was outside playing by this time. She was cool with it.)

bff

Joseph spent his first Valentine's Day with Ava Chung, a little friend who was born just four days after he was. Mostly they ate and slept, but had a few short minutes of visiting. Joseph found Ava most charming, and was really bowled over by her loveliness and prettiness but mostly her lack of balance (well, his, too).
