brand new person
Welcome to the world Joshua Michael Bodner!

While we were in Saskatchewan, Joseph was excited to hear about his new cousin, born June 18 at 18:18. And once we got back to Oakville, we got to say hello and take their picture together... the first of many over the years, we predict.

cheating
We're home! And I'm updating the blog today... pretending like I was updating it all along during our stay on the farm.
So, here's what we did in June...

daddy's day
Happy Father's Day! Joseph was a lucky boy to celebrate with both Daddy and Papa. Smooches all around.

40
While we were home, we celebrated Mom and Dad's 40th anniversary with a big party on the farm. Joseph met lots more relatives and friends (and blog checkers!) and Grammie and Papa got to know how loved they are. Yeehaw!

grammie and papa
To Grammie and Papa... thank you for letting me stay at your house for three weeks. I loved waking up to see you every day. I got so excited that I woke up lots of times in the night, hoping it was morning (sorry if I woke you).

Thanks for all of your hugs and kisses and teaching me about tractors and tickling my belly.
I miss you already and I can't wait for August.
Love, Joseph

while we were there...
... these random things happened...
We watched Becca play ball.

We found a fawn in the yard.
Grammie helped me sit.
Lily made friends with Frank. Kind of.
Joseph began demanding more food.
Daddy finally came.
We watched Winston run.

We played with Kaycee.
We went swimming.
Matt showed us how to jump in the sprinkler.
And we swung. Swang. Swinged.
It was a good time.

greatness
One of the many, many super things about being in Shaunavon for three weeks is the amount of time we got to spend with Great-Grandma Pat. She is an excellent baby-holder and Joseph was excellent at being held (way less squirmy than usual and particularly smiley... "putting on a show," my dad called it).
Thank you, Grandma, for your arms which are so comfy and your kisses which are so sweet.

six months
Joseph is half-a-year! He celebrated his half-birthday on the farm by wearing overalls and sitting up all by himself. Happy Half!
