48 hours

That's how long it took to get from our house to theirs. We left Sunday around 8:30 in the evening, instantly hit traffic, threw in the first movie, said some bedtime prayers, and listened to kids drift off to sleep (around midnight? maybe 1a.m.?). David drove until we needed to stop for gas in Sault Ste. Marie at 4:30 a.m., everyone woke up to begin their day, I took over the wheel to drive through a crazy lightening storm, and we stopped at Old Woman's Bay for a quick run into Lake Superior to relieve some driving stress and wake us up. Onward we drove. And onward and onward. We hit Winnipeg at midnight with some crying kids in the van and decided to stop at the first hotel we saw. And when we awoke, we quickly hit the road for 9 more hours of driving to get us... HERE!!

... to these people, whom we love and missed so much. Ahhhhh. Here we are and this is good.

(And here are some pictures of that drive...)
