Good Friday. With no Church to attend, or Oakville's Good Friday Walk, we came up with our own Stations of the Cross. During Holy Week, the kids divided up the Stations and sketched their depictions on wood, and then David and Joe took the wood-burning tools to them. On a cold, windy Friday morning, David ran out with Henry and Annie to hang them on the trees lining the sidewalk across from our house. And then we went out, as a family, to walk and pray our Stations of the Cross. We left them out for the day, and my heart was so glad to see neighbours and walkers stop and read and wander on to the next.
