hush

It's a tip-toe-y, quiet kind of morning. Joseph is napping and the garden is growing.

We are working on sleeping right now... mostly for Joseph but consequently me and David too. We once upon a time had a baby who easily slept through the night. Then, almost two months ago, some switch got flicked and Joseph started waking up two, three, four times a night. We would rock him back to sleep, lay him down in his crib, tiptoe out of his room... and then immediately hear his cry. And it started all over again.

We were optimistic at first... things will get back to normal, we said. He will start to sleep through the night again. But they never did and he never did.

So now the Kantors are trying something new. A little less rocking, a little more convincing... and so far, so good.

It is so nice to see you again, sweet Sleep.
