Long, long (long) ago, our family would travel to visit their family, or their family would travel to our family, and we would Christmas together and play board games together and eat together and laugh loudly together... and then... we all grew up and visits became harder to arrange and Christmases spent at our own homes and all the board games and food and laughing became a good but fading memory. Until... this weekend. When my mom and sisters and niece drove to Canmore to meet up with my aunt and cousins. And then the wild rumpus started up all over again. And I'm so glad it did. Because life is just a lot funnier with these ladies.
Looking forward to Niagara 2020. Can't wait.

First official day of summer and things are really going great around here. Henry vacuumed. Joe made lunch. This is going to be awesome.

summer fun things: the beach
Here we go. Summer fun time. First up: a beach. Not a particularly tropical or cottage-y beach but it had water and sand and all of that so it still counts.

happy canada day
We partied hard today with the Dhas family with slippety-sliding, food, water balloons, and fireworks. And exhausted kids.
