girls' night

Sleepover fun at our house on Saturday night. Evening events included popcorn, a movie, really stinky feet, impromptu foot spa, and a lot of giggling.

after that: the aquarium

And then we went back down the tower, ate some lunch, and went to visit the fish. Hey, you know a great way to keep track of twelve kids, ages 10 and under? Take them to a place that has a million other kids and is extremely dark. Not challenging at all for the parents.

next up: cn tower

It's windy up there. With a nice view. And a glass floor.

hanging out with the girodats

Look who came to visit for the Thanksgiving weekend... it's the Girodats and we're keeping them busy with fun and having fun with the busy. We started the day they arrived with rock wall climbing and a ninja warrior course. Here, personalities came alive, and similarities between stubborn, determined cousins were apparent (ie. at least one girl from each family had a meltdown because SHE WANTED TO DO IT BY HERSELF and DO IT PERFECTLY WHILE SHE'S AT IT). Funny. In retrospect. (At the time, it was not funny at all.) But I guess that's the grit that warriors are made of.

apple

Janie can say apple. And cookie. Her priority is the cookie part. But she gets more apples than cookies.

clara

Big kids are at school. Janie's napping. Me and Clara hanging out.

and some more birthday

One more day of birthday fun for Mr. Henry. Today was Birthday Adventure Day with his friend from school. We trampolined and ate pizza and drank red slushies. And that's a pretty good day for a seven-year-old (and a 39-year-old, too... the boys kindly let me participate).
