french immersion works

One of the things I have been most surprised and impressed with as we visit with our friends is how Joseph has communicated with them in French. He's not a big talker about school and what he's learning, so I've never heard him speak more than a string of two or three words en francais. Now he's my translator, and it's awesome to hear all those words come out his mouth.

We had a good visit with old friends for David, new friends for the rest of us. Their time with us was a good start to our summer, getting us touring and out of the house, playing a thousand sports in our backyard, re-learning how to play Uno, and forcing us to slow down a bit. Thank you, Depraz family, for your visit to Canada and with us.
