farmers

Our garden is done for the year. Did it ever really start? Not really... wasn't our best year. We managed to get some cherry tomatoes, a couple of zucchinis, one cucumber, a melon, a handful of onions, bunches of parsley and basil, and some teeny garlic. We had a good year for beans and peppers and that alone was enough to make Annie feel like a really great farmer. I would often find her out there with an optimistically large bowl, humming away to herself, picking (and eating) the beans. We have big plans for next year... it's good to have a helper.
