Henry's moving on. Kindergarten - check. Grade 1 - on his way. Henry is finishing up his year and has learned "how to spell and make friends." With that gold, how can his future go wrong?

Below are Henry's favourites... Mrs. Atkinson, who is retiring despite our protests, Mrs. Pallotta, who is so attentive, and Mr. Jose, who Henry thinks is awesome.

Next year, Henry's on his way to St. Mary's for the French Immersion program. This means (ANGEL CHORUS) both boys are going to the same school! Drop-off and pick up at only one school! One school! So excited. We'll still always be running late but still so excited.

these people

So happy to have these good people at our house today! Thank you, Naglieris, for coming to visit (and hi to your extended family... who read all this... hi Emily... these pictures are for you!).

Anywho, please come visit often. New Haven is too far away.

babies and balloons

Should you ever be having a bad day... hand a baby a balloon. It's delightful.

Post-balloon photo shoot...

This is where she likes to perch, tuck in, and fall asleep. I like it very much.

joe is nice

Joe (and parents) was very happy/proud/honoured today when he was awarded the Caring Family Member medal for grade two students. As parents... we know that he's not always caring, and that being a big brother can be hard. But we're also glad to know he's trying and it means a lot that his teachers recognize that. We see it, too. We love you, Joe.

gymnastics face

This is how Annie looks at her gymnastics class:

Happy. Like her-face-is-going-to-explode happy. It's so fun to watch her every week and, especially, today when The Little Gym held a show to display the amazing talents of their budding gymnasts. Here's what she can do... (mostly stand with her arms in the air... but also some other things...).

Happy Father's Day to our daddy! We love you and thank you for all all all you do for us.

And we also enjoyed looking for frogs. Good way to spend the day.

As in, she's got a lot of dribbles coming out of her mouth. And also she has a bright and happy personality. She's a lovely, bubbly girl, giving us lots of smiles and coos and small laughs (enough to massage our egos and convince us that we're so hilarious).

okay blue jays

That was fun. Little League Day at the Jays game today, and we took Joe and Henry (and Jane... Jane goes everywhere). And it was so much fun. A really exciting game, a really excited Joe, a somewhat excited Henry (he loved the beginning and the end... the middle part just got a little long for him), and some pretty happy parents. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. And the Jays won, so, yippee!

Henry's always been a good hugger, and now here he is, hugging the mom of Corporal Nathan Cirillo, the soldier who lost his life while guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in 2014. Henry's school created a Veterans' Garden in 2011 and, each year, honours a soldier with a ceremony and commemorative plaque. This year, the Cirillos were invited and their son was honoured. And our son was honoured, by being asked to present flowers, say a nice sentence, and give a sweet hug.

cousin vs. cousin

The Yankees played the Blue Jays tonight (or as Joe and Henry insist on saying, no matter how many times we tell them you can't make 'versus' a verb, "The Yankees versed the Blue Jays"), so that means Joe was up against cousin Joshie. A windy night, dusty conditions, a hard-fought battle. The winner? Everyone! It's t-ball. Everyone wins!

... on Jane. She has a lot of people willing to do a lot of things at all times of any day. She likes that about us.

ice cream

She likes chocolate (chock-it) the best.

annie's bff (and bff's brother)

The Dufour kids and their mama came to visit today. Swinging and giggling ensued, as it should. Lisel and I loved watching the girls play... hurray for second generation friendships... even though the second generation hogged the swings.
