reduce, reuse, recycle

Happy Non-Scary Halloween! And what could be less scary than recycling? Here is our Blue Box... he had a good time getting into the swing of things at the Tiny Tots Parade in downtown Oakville on Friday, then carving the jack-o-lantern, and then going out to get some treats tonight (said treats then were given out to other trick-or-treaters coming to our house... and some consumed by mommy and daddy... all part of the "recycling" idea... clever).

Trick-or-treating in the comfort of your own home...

more matchy-matchy

Thank you, Ali and Lasky, for the shirts from far away! We love them!

[And, between spitting up (Henry) and sticky hands (Joe), it's harder than I imagined to coordinate matching little boy outfits.]

Yay Grammie!!

That's what Joseph and Lily cheered when Grammie carried in the turkey to place on the Thanksgiving table. And that's what we say now in thanksgiving for her stay with us. There's no way to say it enough... we're just so thankful for her coming to meet Henry and for the cooking and baking and project-helping and the story-reading and the playing and the carrying and the cuddling. We love you so much, Grammie. Yay for you.

Two boys and their Grammies. Or Nannies.

so here comes reality

Grammie left today (pictures of her visit will come). So that means... tomorrow will be my first day at home with 2 boys. I know it will be okay. It should be okay. But I was living in a dreamworld for a while, with all the extra hands to cuddle whichever boy needed it the most. But tomorrow... I guess I will just have my hands full. And that's okay, too.

Joseph got some stickers at the grocery store. He decorated Henry.

But we would like to echo these sentiments. Thanks to everyone who has sent cheers and congratulations on the birth of our Henry. We're delighted to have him in our family... he's a good roommate and very thoughtful. We like him a lot and look forward to sharing his stories as he grows and grows and grows. We're all feeling very happy and blessed. (Even Henry, who withstands the stickers on his face.)

First wrestle/hug.

This wasn't forced. Joseph regularly asks to hold Henry. But there is some confusion as to what Joe should do with his arms. He usually prefers to hold them up high in the air and balance Henry on his knees. So very lovingly.
